Electrician to defend illegal gun, drugs charges in court

Thirty three-year-old Odane Golding, an electrician of Nelson Road, Kingston 13, is to appear in the St Andrew Parish Court on Friday to answer to charges stemming from reported breaches of the Firearms Act and the Dangerous Drugs Act.

According to the police, Golding was arrested on Friday, August 5, after a team from the Narcotics Division and Mobile Reserve searched his premises.

During the search, a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver and eight .38 cartridges, along with a pound of ganja were reportedly seized.

Golding was arrested and subsequently charged following an interview in the presence of his attorneys.
