The police are appealing to persons related to a Mandeville doctor and her boyfriend who were reported missing to come forward to have their names removed from missing persons' lists.

Twenty-eight-year old Chanique Cousins and her 42-year-old boyfriend, Winston Davidson, were reported missing on July 29.

Cousins was reported missing by her colleagues at the Mandeville Regional Hospital when she didn't turn up for work.

However, speaking with The Gleaner/Power106 News Centre this afternoon, Communication Officer with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Stephanie Lindsay, said the police are of the view that the couple may not be missing.

She says reports from the Manchester Police are that the couple has made contact with relatives and other persons who have seen them within the period they were listed as missing.

However, Lindsay says the whereabouts of the couple remain unknown.

She says based on their investigations, the police have reasons to believe the couple is not in danger.

However, she says the police would like some verification so the records can be updated and the case closed.
