Former National Security Minister Peter Bunting has added his voice to the call for the national security ministry to explain why an alleged key witness in the case against the politician was not offered protection.

In a press release this morning, Bunting distanced himself from the decision, noting that it was taken before the start of his tenure at the helm of the ministry.

He says the position of the previous People’s National Party administration was that no one is above the law.

Meanwhile, Bunting also says he had nothing to do with the non-renewal of the contract of former Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green, who was leading the investigation.
