Police seek help with identifying bodies

The police are seeking help to identify the body of man who was found on Belle Isle Road in Grange Hill, Westmoreland yesterday.

The body is about five feet six inches long and clad in a pair of blue jeans pants.

The police say about 10 a.m. yesterday, residents saw the body and alerted them. The body had several chop wounds and the left foot was severed.

Anyone with information that can assist the police to identify the body, or assist the investigation, is being asked to contact the Morgan’s Bridge police at 955-1375; Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

And the police is also asking for help to identify the body of a woman in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

Her body was found in the Black River in the Amity Hall district of Old Harbour.

The police say the woman appears to be in her mid-twenties. She has a brown complexion and is about five feet tall and is dressed in a white merino and black tights.

Reports are that residents saw the body in the river and called the police about 3 p.m. yesterday. The body was removed to the morgue. The cause of death was not disclosed.
