UPDATE: Bodies of St Thomas boys recovered from Lyssons beach

The boys, 11- year-old Dwayne Brown, a student of Lyssons Primary School and 14-year-old Kiiko Mendez who attended Happy Grove High School in Portland disappeared around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.

The St Thomas Police have recovered the bodies of two boys who are believed to have drowned at Lyssons Beach in the parish yesterday.

The boys, 11- year-old Dwayne Brown, a student of Lyssons Primary School and 14-year-old Kiiko Mendez who attended Happy Grove High School in Portland disappeared around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.

It is reported that the youngsters drifted out to sea on a log.

The police say one reportedly fell into the water and the other jumped in to assist him.

They both got into difficulty and later disappeared.

A search was immediately launched by the police and the bodies of the young boys found this morning.
