Three men from St Catherine were yesterday taken into custody for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act by members of the Narcotics Division in Bushy Park in the parish.

It’s alleged they were found with 71 pounds of loose ganja, a hydraulic jack, one compressor, masking tape and other wrapping paraphernalia.

The police say the illicit drug is suspected to have been part of the drugs-for-guns trade and has an estimated street value of $568,000.

The police say the men are to be interviewed in the presence of their attorneys and formal charges will be laid after.
