A seven-member jury is now deciding the fate of businessman Steven Causwell.

The panel of four women and three men retired to the jury room at the Home Circuit Court a short while ago on the direction of presiding judge Carol Lawrence-Beswick.

"Over to you. I am going to invite you to retire  and consider your verdict," Lawrence-Beswick said.

She also cautioned them to be true to their conscience.

Causwell is on trial for allegedly killing his former girlfriend Nardia Mitchell at her Oaklands Apartment in July 2008.
