Gov't failed to fulfill promise of resources for court system – Morrison

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Dennis Morrison noted that while it is the obligation of the courts to deliver justice, the government has the responsibility to fund its administration.

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Dennis Morrison says the government has failed to fulfill its promises to provide resources to the court system.

Justice Morrison was addressing colleagues and new judges who were being sworn-in at a ceremony at Kings House yesterday.

He said the judicial system needs the support of the government to perform at its best.
