NWC: Mechanical challenges affecting water supply from Cambridge Treatment plant
The National Water Commission (NWC) says the current output of the Cambridge Treatment plant in St James has declined by 50 per cent due to mechanical challenges.
The NWC says operations to correct the problem will result in a further decline in output by 30 per cent.
It says customers served by the plant will continue to experience low water pressure or periods of no water.
NWC says repairs are to be completed by next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the NWC says trucked water will be provided to the affected customers.
Affected areas include Bickersteth, Seven Rivers, Richmond Hill, Shortwood, Cambridge, Ducketts, Grange, Bethel Town, Argyle Mountain and Lambs River.
