Look out for counterfeit $1,000 notes
The Clarendon police are warning business persons and other members of the public to be on the lookout for counterfeit $1,000 notes. The notes have been discovered to be in circulation since last week.
Constable Nanthony Hamilton says three of the notes have since been handed over to the police.
The police, in urging the public to be vigilant when conducting monetary transactions, say it is important for persons to pay attention because criminals are constantly finding ingenious ways to make money.
Hamilton is also encouraging especially small business operators to invest in a money machine, which will help them to detect counterfeit notes.
