The Peoples' National Party's (PNP) deputy general secretary says there is need for a combination of new and experienced persons, as well as fresh ideas.

His comments follow remarks by Vice President Dr Angela Brown that the calls for renewal were cliché and that the focus should be on rebuilding the party.

The call for renewal within the PNP was the central theme of South East St Ann Member of Parliament Lisa Hanna's campaign for one of the four vice-president positions in the PNP.

Hanna polled just 1,570 votes in her failed campaign.

However, a cautiously speaking Robinson says the call for renewal and rebuilding is simply a matter of word choice.
