Political commentator Kevin O'Brien Chang is demanding details from the People's National Party on the plan to centralise the collection of donations to the party.

Amid a probe by the contractor general now underway into the PNP's campaign money scandal, party president Portia Simpson Miller yesterday declared that she would be centralising the collection of donations.

However, Simpson Miller offered no further comment on the matter.

Last night, Chang said that was not good enough to restore confidence among Jamaicans dissatisfied with the political system.

Chang says he was not excited by Simpson Miller's announcement that she would be setting up a committee to monitor the implementation of the recommendations of an appraisal committee following the PNP's general election loss in February this year.
