Jamaica Observer journalist Ingrid Brown has died

Ingrid Brown, the associate editor for special assignment at the Observer, died Thursday evening at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Jamaica Observer journalist Ingrid Brown has died.

Brown, who was the associate editor for special assignment at the Observer, died Thursday evening at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

She had been ill for the past few months and had been admitted on previous occasions.

Her death has shocked the local media fraternity.

On social media there have been expressions of disbelief with tributes beginning to pour in memory of Brown.
