Police impose curfew in Glendevon
A curfew has been imposed in Glendevon, St James until 6 o’clock tomorrow evening as the police try to halt the gun violence and other crimes gripping the community.
The curfew began at 6 o’clock yesterday evening, an hour after three people were shot, one fatally, at a business establishment on the Glendevon main road.
The police say around 5 o’clock, a white motorcar – believed to have been involved in an earlier shooting – drove up and opened fire, hitting the three men.
In the earlier incident, four people were shot at a business place on Hugga Lane in Norwood.
They have been admitted to hospital.
The police say during the Glendevon curfew all persons within its boundaries must remain within their premises.
They may only mover about if they get the written permission of the ground commander.
