Pickersgill returned as PNP chairman
For the 25th time Robert "Bobby" Pickersgill has been elected chairman of the People's National Party (PNP).
Pickersgill was re-elected at the first meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) since the PNP annual conference. The meeting is currently under way at the Versailles Hotel in May Pen, Clarendon.
Vice-chair Anthony Hylton has also been returned and voting is now under way for 11 members to serve on the new NEC.
Apologies have been tendered on behalf of Norman Horne once again, the author of the damning treasurer's report which pointed fingers at senior party officials for withholding funds designated for the party's losing bid in the February 25 general election.
