Stakeholders give full support to police in fight against crime in western Jamaica

The police in western Jamaica have got the full support of stakeholders in the area as they fight to put a lid on escalating crimes in the area.

According to a release from the police's corporate communication unit (CCU), there have been pledges of increased support especially to improve the CCTV surveillance of the city of Montego Bay and environs, the repair of some 32 service vehicles, and expansion of social intervention programmes.

The police are now hunting eight persons who are wanted for murder. They include: 
1. Richard Grey, o/c Zambie of Cambridge, St James
2. Delano Wilmot, o/c  Prekeh
3. Ryan Peterkin o/c Ratty of Retrieve, Cambridge, St James
4. Marshall Dillion, o/c Rasta of Norwood, Montego Bay, St James
5. Devon Reid, of Cassava Walk, Albion, Montego Bay, St James
6. Deandre Devonte Ackeem Harris, o/c Slick of Clarks Street, Mount Salem, St James
7. O’Neil Brown, o/c Tash of Dumfries and McCatty streets in St James
8. Laura Meggie, of Indian descent, brown complexion, short and dresses like a man of Mount View district, Greenwood St James.

Another six have been listed as persons of interest:
1. Teddy Parchment of Joan Avenue, Glendevon, Norwood, St James
2. Oshane Duhaney, 26 years old of Comfort Hall, Anchovy, St James
3. Ryan Richards, o/c Chucky and Ray, 33 years old of Anchovy Meadows, St James
4. Richard Anderson, o/c Cruz, 27 years old of 27 James Street, St James
5. Jermaine Burton, 21 years old of Pimento Hill, St James
6. Stefana Anthony Johnson, o/c SAJ, 23 years old of Plum Tree, Hopeton, St James.
