Members of the security forces are now conducting major joint operations in sections of Montego Bay, St James as they continue to tackle the recent flare-up of violence in the area.

The operation will focus on the Glendevon and Norwood communities and is to include various body and vehicular searches.

The Police are also expected to serve summonses and execute outstanding warrants.

Communication Officer at the Jamaica Constabulary Force Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says the continued intensified policing may cause an inconvenience to the public but the police are craving the public's cooperation.
