The National Water Commission (NWC) is encouraging customers to store water.

The NWC is recommending that customers store at least one gallon of water for each person in the household for three to seven days.

The utility company is also encouraging customers with water tanks to fill them up.

The NWC says in addition to the normal Hurricane Season preparedness activities, specific preparatory steps now being taken include restoring water to all systems that are out of operation and the installation, strategic deployment and maintenance checks of standby generators at major facilities.

The NWC further says it is moving to procure and strategically distribute treatment chemicals and other critical storm supplies.

At the same time, it is completing and secure all active work areas or projects in the field.
