Flights cancelled at Kingston airport as island braces for Hurricane Matthew

Several flights have been cancelled as operations at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston are scaled down in preparation for the impending impact of Hurricane Matthew.

So far, American Airlines and Caribbean Airlines have announced the cancellation of a number of flights scheduled for today.

Caribbean Airlines:
BW414 – Kingston to Nassau
BW415 – Nassau to Kingston
BW036  - Fort Lauderdale to Kingston
BW079/078 – Kingston to Toronto to Kingston
BW017/016 – Kingston to New York to Kingston
October 03, 2016
BW031 – Kingston to Fort Lauderdale

American Airlines:
AA 1082  - Miami to Kingston
October 03, 2016
AA 2370 – Kingston to Miami

NMIA is advising passengers of other airlines to make contact to ascertain information on changes to their respective flights.

The airport, however, remains open until further notice.
