JetBlue flights back on schedule after Matthew threat

WESTERN BUREAU:
JetBlue’s morning operations out of Kingston has been cancelled, however, the airline says its flights are back to normal and will still operate its Ft Lauderdale flight later today from the Norman Manley International Airport.

“For Montego Bay, we will operate flights today. For flight status and updates, our customers should visit Jetblue.com,” the airline’s manager of Corporate communications, Latin America & Caribbean, Elizabeth Ninomiya, told The Gleaner this morning.

The airline has also waived change and cancellation fees and fare differences for to customers affected by Hurricane Matthew.

“Customers travelling Sunday, October 2, 2016 through Thursday, October 6, 2016 to/from the following cities:
Kingston, Jamaica (KIN)
Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ)
Nassau, Bahamas (NAS)
Port-au-Prince, Haiti (PAP)
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS)
Santa Clara, Cuba (SNU)

Customers with cancelled flights may opt for a refund. Original travel must have been booked on or before Friday, September 30, 2016.

Customers are encouraged to check the status of their flight online prior to leaving for the airport. Customers with web-enabled mobile devices may check the status of their flight at mobile.jetblue.com.
