UPDATED: 'Mi start bawl out fi murder' - wife of man shot in MoBay

The police have confirmed that only one person was killed in Flanker, St James, this morning.

Initial reports were that two people were killed.

The Corporate Communication Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force says two other persons were injured.

There’s no information on the identity of the person killed.

One woman, whose 62-year-old husband was among the two injured, says he was shot sometime after 8 o’clock this morning.

The woman says he had just prepared breakfast for her when the shooting started on Corbette Drive, also referred to as Vietnam.

“All now mi not even eat mi breakfast mi have fi run lef it a grung,” she told The Gleaner.

“Mi hear mi husband bawl out and den mi nuh hear nutten again. And then mi start bawl out fi murder, murder, murder,” she continued.

Her husband is now at hospital receiving treatment.

Residents of the area say the shooting was carried out by men aboard a silver car, which went through the community this morning.
