Flanker Health Center remains closed after 'Vietnam' shooting

The Flanker Health Center in Montego Bay, St James, remains closed after gun violence forced a halt in operations yesterday.

Yesterday, gunmen went on a rampage in the community shooting and killing one man in the volatile 'Vietnam' area.

According to eyewitness reports, approximately 8:30 in the morning, a silver Toyota motor car drove into 'Vietnam' and several armed men alighted and started firing shots.

A man identified only as 'Sassa' was killed on the spot, while three other persons were seriously injured.

'Sassa', who is believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s was reportedly in a buoyant mood minutes before the shooting, as he was said to be celebrating his birthday.
