Melbourne Chaplin makes his way into the Manchoniel All-Age school to shelter on last Sunday.

All except for two schools reopened this morning following their closure due to threats of heavy winds and rains associated with Hurricane Matthew.

Several schools, especially in eastern Jamaica were being used as shelters.

Speaking with The Gleaner/Power106 this morning Education Minister Ruel Reid said Machioneal All-Age in Portland and the Annotto Bay High School in St Mary are the only schools still closed.
