Former Gleaner deputy managing director dies

Former Gleaner deputy managing director Christopher Roberts has died.

Roberts, 76, died at this morning after ailing for some time.

A chartered accountant by profession, Roberts also served The Gleaner as a financial manager and a director.

The Jamaica College old boy was a manager of the Sugar Manufacturers’ Association before he joined The Gleaner in 1975.

He was married to Jill Puttnam in 1964 and was the father of one son and one daughter.
