Labourer to be sentenced for deliveryman's murder October 28

St Catherine labourer, 28-year-old Levar Ludford, otherwise called 'Danger' is to be sentenced, on October 28, for the murder of gas deliveryman Hometo Henry.

Ludford, who is of a Spanish Town, St Catherine, was on Friday found guilty in the Home Circuit Court of Henry’s murder.

Sentencing is to be handed down by Justice Leighton Pusey who presided over the trial.

Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Andrea Martin-Swaby, led evidence that Henry and members of his family were at home in New Nursery, Twickenham Park, Spanish Town on May 19, 2011 when night a gun man entered the premises around 7.30 p.m.

Ludford fired several shots hitting Henry and two other family members.

He subsequently succumbed to his injuries having received three gunshot wounds.

Ludford was arrested and later charged after being pointed out in identification parades.

In his defence, Ludford told the jury that he had nothing to do with Henry's murder.

He was represented by Carol Dacosta and Jacqueline Asher.
