Same sex demonstrators and supporters in the United States hold a rainbow flag above their heads as they shout slogans during a protest.

Grenada's attorney General Cajeton Hood has denied that the proposed amendments for the Rights and Freedom Bill will create a loophole that could result in Grenada legalising same sex unions.

The bill is one of seven that will be voted on during the October 27 referendum in Grenada.

The attorney general urged the public to get the facts before voting.

In recent days, several religious bodies have been campaigning against amendments to the Rights and Freedom Bill saying that despite its good intention it creates a loophole for gay marriage.
