The St Catherine Parish Council says it is still awaiting funds from the local government ministry to start rebuilding the section of the Old Harbour market that was gutted by a massive fire in July.

Scores of vendors were left counting their losses after the fire destroyed the haberdashery section of the market and also caused damage to an adjoining plaza.

Chairman of the St Catherine Parish Council Norman Scott says some of affected vendors have been relocated to the section of the market where ground provisions are sold.
