Kentucky police arrest 2 for fatal shooting of Tyson Gay's daughter
Trinity Gay, the daughter of US sprinter, Tyson Gay, has died after being shot at a Lexington restaurant in Kentucky.
USA Today reports that the 15-year-old track star for the Kentucky-based Lafayette High School was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to her neck.
Reports are that Lexington police had responded to a call at the Cook Out restaurant shortly before 4:00 a.m. Two cars exchanged fire and then drove away. However, they say Trinity was not in either of the cars.
Police have said that they have held two people whose cars match the description of those involved in the incident. They are being questioned.
Olympian Tyson Gay is the US 100 metres record holder and is the joint second-fastest 100 metres runner of all time, behind Jamaica's Usain Bolt.
