A Kingston man was today found guilty of the 2013 murder of four-year-old Roshaun Burford in the central Kingston community of Allman Town.‎

In a unanimous verdict handed down in the Home Circuit Court a short while ago, Marlon McMillan was also convicted of wounding with intent for shooting the child's grandmother in the same incident.

McMillan is to be sentenced on November 18 by Justice David Fraser.

Prosecutor Sahai Whittingham Maxwell led evidence that Burford, who was a student at the Salvation Army Basic School, was shot in the head inside his Elgin Street home.

The child's grandmother, whose name is being withheld, testified that he was killed in a hail of bullets fired by McMillan following a dispute over a broken water pipe in their tenement dwellings.
