Father and sons on wounding charges remanded

A father and his two sons, charged with the wounding of a fisherman in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine, have been remanded by the St Catherine Parish Court.

Fifty-five-year-old Charles Chambers, 19-year-old Jaheel Chambers and 22-year-old Michael Chambers, all of Station Lane in Old Harbour Bay appeared in court yesterday.

When the matter was called up, the court was told that the additional charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition have been laid against the two sons.

The matter was set for mention on Tuesday, October 25.

It is alleged that on October 3, the fisherman was pounced upon by Chambers and his two sons.

They allegedly took turns chopping and stabbing the fisherman him repeatedly.

The fisherman was hospitalised as a result of injuries he received.

A report was made to the police and following an investigation the men were charged with wounding with intent.
