PNP to prepare for local government elections at exec meetings Sunday

Outgoing PNP General Secretary Paul Burke says the meetings will be used to continue the party's outreach activities and voter engagement programmes.

The People's National Party (PNP) says the six regional executive council meetings scheduled for tomorrow will focus on preparations for the upcoming local government elections.

The R-E-C meetings are to be held in Kingston, Brown's Town, St Ann; Port Morant, St Thomas; Twickenham Park, St Catherine; Brompton, St Elizabeth; and Anchovy, in St James.

Burke says PNP President Portia Simpson Miller has charged all candidates to give life and meaning to the party's local government theme 'With the People, For the People'.
