The National Works Agency (NWA) says it has now cleared several roads in Portland and St Mary that were cut off by debris during heavy rains over the past two days.

However, NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw says many other roads in the parishes remain blocked.

According to Shaw, NWA teams are working at this hour to restore access by the end of the day.

He says roads networks in the parishes of Portland, St Mary, St Thomas, St Andrew and some sections of St Ann are being severely impacted by the current rains affecting Jamaica.
