PM off to 2016 High Level Caribbean Forum in Trinidad
Prime Minister Andrew Holness is leading Jamaica’s delegation to the 2016 High Level Caribbean Forum in Port of Spain, Trinidad today.
The team left the island last evening.
The one-day forum is being hosted by the International Monetary Fund and the Trinidad and Tobago authorities under the theme: 'Shifting Tides: Challenges and Opportunities'.
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) says the forum will bring together regional Prime Ministers, Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, donors, and representatives from international financial institutions and the private sector.
They will exchange views on the unique challenges and opportunities for the Caribbean region.
Prime Minister Holness is expected to return to the island tomorrow.
During his absence, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, Derrick Smith, is in charge of the Government.
