Gunmen have carried out a second attack along St Johns Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine leaving three persons nursing gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred about 8 o'clock this morning at a hairdressing parlour along the busy thoroughfare.

The hairdresser, her son and another young man were reportedly shot and injured by gunmen on foot.

The gunmen also sprayed the establishment with shots.

All three have been admitted at the Spanish Town Hospital.

This morning's shooting follows the killing of a man along St Johns Road early yesterday morning.

There has been an increase in violence in Spanish Town and surrounding communities because of what the police say is a fight for territory between rival factions of the Clansman and One Order gangs.
