The police are advising motorists to expect delays on the North-South Highway in the vicinity of the Angels exit after a trailer transporting scrap metal overturned Monday evening.

The crash left debris on both sides of the highway.

Head of the police traffic division, Superintendent Courtney Coubrie says the trailer driver was injured and is currently being treated at hospital.

The truck was enroute to Kingston from St Ann when it overturned.

Coubrie said persons travelling from Kingston will have to use the Bog Walk Gorge but those heading to Kingston will be able to use the highway south-bound lanes have since been cleared.
