Another member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has been shot and injured by gunmen.

The constable is in hospital nursing injuries after being attacked yesterday afternoon in Bickersteth District in Cambridge, St James.

It is reported that he was on his way home when armed men opened fire on him.

The cop returned the fire, hitting one of his attackers. Both injured men were taken to hospital where the cop was admitted and his attacker pronounced dead.

Yesterday, a policeman was shot and injured along Washington Boulevard in St Andrew after he tried to stop gunmen who were attempting to rob a pump attendant at a gas station.
