Motorists have been advised to avoid Spanish Town Road.

According to the police, earlier Wednesday evening a police team was in the area when a group of men was seen attempting to leave one community to go to another.

Additional police and military personnel were subsequently deployed to the area to assist the team that was trapped and a large-scale operation is now underway.
