HERE’S MY WINNING Q: Kimberly Blair, first place winner for the month of October in the ‘Q is the Key to Cash 4 Life' competition holds up the Q which won her the prize of $500,000.

Twenty-five lucky entrants won a total of $1,250,000 in cash prizes in October, just over two weeks into the J Wray and Nephew's 'Q is the Key to Cash 4 Life' competition.

Twenty persons won daily cash prizes of $10,000 in October and five lucky individuals won big with the monthly draw. There are Kimberly Blair ($500,000), Nigel Goldbourne ($250,000), Suzette Cameron ($150,000), Dwayne Rose ($100,000) and Foyieka Richards ($50,000)

The 14-week competition, featuring dancehall's 'Real Rich' sensation Tanto Blacks, will award nearly $30 million in prize money between October 2016 and January 2017 to winning players who purchase 'Qs' (200 ml) of Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, Charley's JB Overproof Rum, Appleton Special, or Campari, peel their labels, text the codes to the number provided and are selected.

Kimberley Blair, first-place winner for the month of October, said the winnings could not have come at a better time, as her family had just received bad news before she received the winning text message.

"Oh God! Me feel like mi want faint because mi just over excited! My sister died and the money just come at the right time," Blair, who bought her Q at Joe's Bar in Heart Ease district, Mandeville, said.

Nigel Goldbourne, secondplace winner, also rejoiced over his cash prize of $250,000. "I feel very, very proud and good," he said.

ENRICHING LIVES

Pietro Gramegna, marketing manager, J Wray & Nephew Limited, said that just as Tanto Blacks lives 'real rich', the team at J. Wray & Nephew Limited aspires to see some of their customers live 'real rich' for the Christmas season, which was the reason for launching the competition with Tanto Blacks as the ambassador.

"We are pleased to know that our 'Q is the Key to Cash 4 Life' competition has been enriching the lives of Jamaicans less than a month after it began," Gramegna said.

"For the last two years, between the months of October and January, we have committed to giving back to our customers through the 'Q is the Key' competition, in which we gave instant cash prizes to those who entered and millions to two lucky winners in grand prizes," he added.

J. Wray and Nephew will be providing 14 weeks of daily cash prizes of $10,000, mobile phone credit and monthly cash prizes of $50,000, $100,000, $150,000, $250,000 and $500,000. In January 2017, there will be a grand prize draw for two persons to each win $1,000,000 million per year for the next 10 years.
