McKenzie says Arscott didn't make PNP debate team because of incompetence
Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie yesterday took jabs at his opposition counterpart, Noel Arscott, describing him as the worst local government minister in Jamaica’s history.
McKenzie said Arscott’s incompetence was highlighted by his absence from the People’s National Party's team which participated in last Wednesday’s local government debate.
McKenzie was speaking to Labourites while on a tour of the South Trelawny constituency.
The People's National Party had said it would only be placing candidates on its debating teams.

But McKenzie said although Arscott served as local government minister for almost five years, he failed to properly equip the PNP debate team with adequate information about his former portfolio.
The JLP is seeking to retain the local government seat it currently holds in Southern Trelawny.
It is also working to capture the two seats which are controlled by the PNP and another which is held by an independent candidate.
