Accused JC student killer remanded
The accused killer of Jamaica College student Nicholas Francis was this morning remanded until January 13 next year when the case will again be mentioned in the St Andrew Parish Court.
When the matter against Quacie Hart was called up, the prosecution told the court that it could not proceed as it is still awaiting the post-mortem report.
After the sitting, Nicholas's father, Xavier Francis, told The Gleaner he was disappointment in the reason given by the prosecution for the delay in the case.
Francis said his son’s post-mortem was done two days after he was killed on October 26.
The former JC student was travelling on a Toyota Coaster bus when a man attempted to rob him of his cellphone.
He was stabbed and later died from his injury.
