Attorney recommends that PNP seek mature legal council on Portmore boundary issue

Attorney Shane Dalling has shot back at the PNP saying it should  seek mature legal advice so it can reasonably oppose this week’s ruling by the Supreme Court on the Portmore boundary issue.

Dalling is the attorney for the Jamaica Labour Party candidate caretaker who challenged the PNP administration's decision to have sections of Spanish Town, St Catherine included in Portmore.

He says he finds it strange that the PNP is rejecting the judge's ruling despite the fact that the written judgement has not yet been handed down by the Supreme Court judge.

Dalling also says the PNP should note that although the Municipality Act may no longer be active, it was valid when the JLP councillor challenged the decision in 2015.
