A look at the oil spill in the Kingston Harbour.

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is investigating a report of an oil spill in the Kingston Harbour which reportedly occurred yesterday afternoon.

NEPA says preliminary reports indicate that the spill took place in the vicinity of Gordon Cay.

It says the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is currently coordinating the cleanup and containment activities which are being done by the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard.

NEPA is advising fisher folk and other marine interests to avoid Gordon Cay and surrounding areas until they are further advised.
