#LocalGovtElection: JLP leading 10-5

The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is currently leading in the counting of ballots in the 2016 local government elections by 10-5.

At 7:30 pm, the JLP was leading in the St. James and Clarendon parish councils. The JLP had also polled 152,207 popular votes, compared with the People’s National Party’s (PNP) 130,000.

St James stood at five in favour of the JLP, while the PNP had no seats declared in the parish thus far.
