People's National Party (PNP) councillor for the Angels division in the St Catherine North Central constituency, Patricia Harris, has retained her division by defeating her Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) challenger Senator Kerensia Morrison after the final count of ballots.

That division reflected a deadlock after the preliminary count last night.

Harris today gained 12 additional votes to move her final tally to 1071, while her opponent Morrison ended up with 1,054 votes.

Harris said she was honoured by the love shown to her by the people in the Angels division.
