UPDATE: Five-year-old girl remains hospitalised following St Thomas crash

The accident scene in St Thomas yesterday that saw six people being rushed to hospital.

A five-year-old girl remains hospitalised following a three-vehicle collision on the Pondside main road in St Thomas yesterday evening.

The toddler reportedly suffered a broken arm and has serious injuries to her face and other parts of her body.

Five other people who were taken to hospital following the collision were treated and released.

It is reported that about 5:40 yesterday afternoon a woman and her two daughters were heading towards Kingston in a brown Toyota Corolla when she lost control of the vehicle and collided with a white truck that was travelling in the opposite direction.

The police say the Corolla then flipped and fell on another car that was travelling behind it.

The woman and her daughters were rushed to hospital.

The other three people who were travelling in the third vehicle received minor injuries and were also taken to hospital.

There were no injuries among occupants of the truck.
