JLP files for magisterial recount in Llandewey division
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has now filed for a magisterial recount of the ballots cast in the Llandewey Division in St Thomas Western.
The Electoral Office of Jamaica says it has been summoned to the recount, but did not say when it would begin.
The JLP's Francisco Bonner requested the recount after yesterday's official count when the division was declared for the People’s National Party's Edwin Marr.
Marr won by eight votes in the final count.
He polled 1,156 votes to Bonner's 1,148.
There were 35 rejected ballots.
