'Dicky' Crawford says Simpson Miller leaves a mixed legacy
Political scientist, Richard 'Dicky' Crawford says the decision by Portia Simpson Miller, not to seek re-election was inevitable.
He says Simpson Miller risked jeopardising her legacy and reputation if she chose to remain as president of the PNP.
He says Simpson Miller's legacy will be mixed.
He notes that she will be remembered as a firebrand for the party, attracting the masses, but says her move to centre the PNP on her personality was also her downfall.
However, he says Simpson Miller's legacy is not a question that can be answered now.
