Karlene Annmarie Lynch was the first of three children born to loving parents Leopold and Hope Lynch on July 29, 1968.

She was always smiling and bubbly as a child.

Along with her brother, O'Neal, and sister, Claudia, she grew up with many of her cousins and lived as though they were all brothers and sisters. This may have helped to develop her strong sense of family and always putting others' needs before her own.

Growing up, Karlene loved to read. Her favourite books were Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys.

Karlene was a very ambitious woman. She graduated from the University of the West Indies, Mona, with a bachelor of Science degree in 1992. She did not stop there. She furthered her education and graduated from Nova Southeastern University, Jamaica, with an Executive Masters of Business Administration in 2002. She went on to start her own business, dotTech ICT Training & Consultants Company Limited in 2006.

She was jovial and the life of the party. She always looked out for others, but was also a no-nonsense person. She was very generous and would go the extra mile for persons she considered close to her.

Karlene was devoted to her faith and a member of Andrew's Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She transitioned home on October 6, 2016, leaving parents Leopold and Hope Lynch, brother O'Neal and sister Claudia, grandmother Maud Cooper, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
