The family of the 14-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by two men in Portmore, St Catherine is now arranging counselling for her.

The girl has been left traumatised since the incident, now being investigated by the police inspectorate.

The Police High Command is also investigating why the victim was transported in the same service vehicle as the victim after he was picked up from the alleged crime scene on Sunday evening.

At the same time, the police are probing how the suspect managed to escape from the cops while being escorted into the Waterford Police Station.

Earlier this week, the aunt of the teenager told The Gleaner that the family has rejected the explanations given by the Waterford police for the foul-ups.
