The Jamaica Red Cross (JRC) was recently gifted $100,000 from the Ace High Performance Tennis Academy (AHPTA) as part of a partnership between the entities.

Each summer, the AHPTA hosts children between the ages of three and 14 during a six-week summer sports camp.

Corporate companies were invited to sponsor children who may not have otherwise been able to attend.

AHPTA promised to hand over 50 per cent of all sponsored registration fees to the JRC.

Over the past two years, over 30 children from several inner-city communities were sponsored.
